Liver-Smoothing Glutinous Rice Cake Workshop
An ancient Hakka tradition · Dutch herbs · TCM wisdom
Aalsmeer
"You are not just making a snack — you are making medicine in the most delicious form possible."
The Hakka people — 客家人 — have been making glutinous rice cakes for over a thousand years. Carried through centuries of migration, this food is ancient, practical, and deeply nourishing. My father is from Shenzhen, the heartland of Hakka culture. This tradition lives in my hands.

Today I bring it to Aalsmeer — with Dutch elderflower from the fields around us, rose petals that move your Liver Qi, black sesame that nourishes your Blood, and the knowledge of a TCM therapist who understands exactly what each ingredient is doing for your body.
